since 2005, raphaël marionneau proposes a very personal musical interpretation of legendary german silent movies classics and redefines their soundtracks atmospheres. his highly-acclaimed interpretations are a mix of classical and electronical music, mixing genres and fitting exactly to every scene of the movie. raphaël presented his first soundtrack for "das cabinet des dr. caligari" (1920) in 2005 during the filmfest hamburg and performed "nosferatu" (1922) one year later at the filmfest hamburg. in 2010, raphaël presented "le cinéma abstrait: nosferatu" for the opening night of "berlin-babylon", the silent movie festival in berlin on rosa luxemburg platz in front of 700 people. regularly raphaël performes in cinemas and festivals all over germany. in 2012, raphaël marionneau created his soundtrack for fritz lang's "metropolis" and for the legendary german classic: "berlin, die sinfonie der grossstadt". |
